| Is a birth certificate required? | Yes. It is required for new players, but will not be needed for returning players. |
| What ages are permitted for Grapefruit / 4U? | Only league age 4 year olds are permitted. 3 year olds cannot play up into 4U. |
| Can I register my child to "Play Up"? | Yes, you can select to play in your designated age group, or to play up 1 age division. If you wish to play up 2 age divisions, please contact the Baseball VP at baseball@bya.org. |

| What do I have to do to become a Coach / Team Parent? There are 3 steps to complete. | 1. You will need to register as a volunteer (Coach / Asst. Coach / Team Parent) for your desired Rec program. 2. Starting January 1, 2024, you will need to register for a volunteer badge in our "Volunteer Badge - Annual 2024" program. This will charge a $10 fee for your background check. NOTE: This does run your actual background check. Please see link in confirmation email. 3. Locate your confirmation email, scroll to the bottom and click button that says "CLICK HERE TO RUN YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK". Submit the form. Once your check is completed, you will be added to the "Approved Volunteers list" and receive a badge. |
