Registration:
Registration will be open from Feb 16 th through June 30th. We are unable to take any late registrations due to the time needed to make custom uniforms.

**All cheerleaders must attend a uniform fitting. Failure to size for a cheer uniform prior to 6/11 will result in late fees being assessed.
Uniform fittings are held at the Whitley Building (MAP)
Cost:
The fee to be a cheerleader will vary from season to season. Please see current offering for current pricing.
Season:
The games are on Saturdays starting Labor Day weekend and running through the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Practices:
Practices are determined by the coach.
Coaches:
Coaches are an important part of our success! We welcome new coaches and offer a coaching clinic to those interested in coaching. Please contact VP of Cheer if you are interested in coaching or have questions about registration.
All participants in BYA will not be discriminated against because of race, gender, creed or educational handicap.
We Background Check ALL Coaches & BYA Board Members:
We require all BYA coaches and board members to go through a background check process.
BYA offers Buddy Cheer for children with Special Needs ages 4-12.
Military/Veterans, First Responders & Healthcare Workers Discount:
The BYA would like to give back to our Military/Veterans, First Responders & Health Care Workers in the form of a $10 discount per registration for your service. Click here to fill out the First Responders Discount Form and provide proof of service and a discount code will be emailed back to you that you can use at sign up.

BYA CHEER MISSION
The BYA Cheer program offers recreational cheer to children ages 4-12. Cheerleaders are taught basic skills and use those skills to cheer on the BYA football teams during the Fall season. Our goal is to teach cheer techniques in a fun and non-threatening environment where every child can be successful. The focus of the BYA program is on developing good life skills through the sport of cheer.
The purpose of the BYA Cheerleaders is to create and promote loyal team spirit and the ideal of good sportsmanship by encouraging honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence. Cheerleaders focus on the development of spirit and cheer technique, leadership, cooperation, self-discipline, and sportsmanship in each individual member and squad. Molding of good, clean, healthy future citizens is of prime importance.
GENERAL SEASON SCHEDULE
Registration for our Fall season opens in May/June, with grass drills in late July & early August. Team placements for Fall occur late July with the first game scheduled the first weekend in September. The Fall season ends just prior to Thanksgiving.
Division age is as of 9/1/2024 for the Fall 2024 season. Children that were 4 on 9/1/2024 or enrolled in 7th grade are not eligible for our Fall 2024 Season.
